Scan a document by selecting the document types in Adobe Scan and get related options available.
Now, you can streamline your workflow by selecting one of the document types available in the Adobe Scan application for scanning. Selecting a scan type changes how the app captures the scan. It also uses the scan type used for the default file name (which you can change as well if needed).
Adobe Scan provides you four Scan types to select from which are mentioned below:
Whiteboard: This option is used for scanning the text or information from a whiteboard. While scanning the whiteboard, the app captures the full screen. You can scan and save the info on the whiteboard to PDF.
Once the scan is saved as PDF, you get an option to add comments in that file along with other common options. The default file name for this will appear as Whiteboard + <date>. For example "Whiteboard 25 Nov 2020".
Form: This option helps you to scan any type of form. Scanning a form uses boundary detection.
If you scan a form using this option and save it to PDF, the fill & sign option will appear for this document along with other common options. The default file name for this will appear as Form + <date>. For example "Form 25 Nov 2020".
Document: It is used to scan any general document. Document scan uses the boundary detection method.
When using this option to scan, you will get the comment option as one of the other common options that appear for the saved PDF. The default file name for this will appear as Scan + <date>. For example "Adobe Scan 25 Nov 2020".
Business Card: This is used basically to scan a business card. It automatically detects the contact information available on the card. Scanning a business card uses boundary detection.
Once you save the scan, a Save contact option appears along with other options that save the detect contact details on your phone contact list. The default file name for this will appear as Business Card + <date>. For example "Business Card 25 Nov 2020".
