Where are my Adobe Scan files?

Community Beginner ,
Jun 02, 2021 Jun 02, 2021

I have Scan on my Galaxy mobile as well as Creative Cloud on both my mobile and my PC. I can see the files on my mobiles Scan app but how do I see my scanned files on the Cloud? Should they be on Document Cloud and is Document Cloud part of Creative Cloud? Unfortunately, I've alwyas found Adobe products to be counter-intuitive so not surprised that the solution is not self evident.

Unfortunately Creative Cloud and Document Cloud are 2 totally different platforms. While you can sync files in the Creative Cloud to your local machine, this is not possible with files in the Document Cloud and you havent even the chance to send scans from the app to another cloudservice, not even to the Creative Cloud. This is an ongoing issue since years and Adobe simply ignores this for whatever reason.

Currently I'm using another app than Adobe Scan.

Hi @descar777 ,

Thank you for posting your query here. Answering to your queries:

  1. Your documents are saved in the document cloud.
  2. Document cloud is different from the creative cloud.
  3. You can use Adobe Document Cloud to store and share large files online. You can easily upload files in Document Cloud and manage them from your computer or mobile device. You can also view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files directly in the browser.

https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/files.html

Make sure you sign in with the same email address which you used earlier to save scans. Try all the possible Adobe accounts you have.

Adobe Scan saves the documents as PDF in the Adobe Document Cloud. You may check your saved files over here, Open the link Adobe Document Cloud.

  • If you are not uploading the files to Adobe Document Cloud or saving it to any other location, then the files will be deleted permanently.

It is not possible to retrieve the files once deleted directly from the application.

I would suggest you always save a copy of the file to some other location or you can upload the files to Document Cloud.

If the files were saved within the application, they are by default uploaded to Document Cloud.

  1. Open Document Cloud and sign in with your Adobe ID and the password.
  2. Then go to Files > Document Cloud > Adobe Scan folder.
  3. Here you will see the Adobe Scan folder. Please look for your files here.

Let me know how it works at your end. If you have any further queries please feel free to reach.

Regards

Ria

up or down in one of the comments someone explained a lot...

But there is no need for a lot of explanation.

  1. Login to https://acrobat.adobe.com
  2. follow the below pic1 and pic2:

Hi @Sharath34929724s2fn,

Thanks for sharing the screenshots.

This will help many future users with the issue of where to look and how the screen would look.

Thanks,

Souvik
