Just why? Adobe XD was the best tool for UI/UX design. It is so smooth and simple to use. I can focus on my creativity rather than how the tool works. With Figma, I have to focus more on the tool than on creativity, since it's more complex—for example, the selection tool is horrible, and the previews aren't great either. There are a lot of details that XD does much better. XD is almost perfect, even if it didn't have a lot of features. Please bring it back, or sell it to me for $100, and I'll maintain it myself! 😄
What are your thoughts on XD compared to Figma?
@Sebastian-B. well, I have to agree with you that I do prefer Xd over Figma....but, if you spend a little more you can definitely get it. You will need to subscribe to the whole CC subscription to get it/ I have the Adobe for Enterprise (work) and Adobe for Team (personal), and both do have the option to install Xd. Have a look to see which plan is applicable. If you are a student, maybe you can get the student discount: https://www.adobe.com/ca/creativecloud/plans.html
There is a waiting period.

There is a waiting period. I know sounds insane, but, I do know it takes at least 24 hours (worse case scenario, 48 to 72 hours) for XD to shop up in your applications. https://www.adobe.com/apps/all/all-platforms.
Scroll all the way down until you see Xd.

To be honest, the only reason why I only subscribe to Creative Cloud is because of XD. As a web developer + designer, this is really a great tool. Hearing this news that the app is on Maintenance Mode and we don't get any clue what's going on in the future. I might as well drop once my subscription is out.

@Sebastian-B. you can go to Figma, but you would still need to pay for Figma as well. Since you are a designer, with the Adobe subcription, at least you get Illustrator, Photohsop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects. And how Adobe is using AI in their apps, I think they are doing better than most....yeah, it kinda sucks with Xd. I prefer Xd over Figma. But, who knows?!
