Hello,
I am working on Debian 10 (Linux) and have a Windows 10 VM (virtualbox) running for Adobe programms. Most are finde, but recently got some problems with Adobe XD CC - Can't update. Sidenote: I would love to see a linux version.
Update Error:
"Der GPU-Treiber Ihres Computers ist veraltet. Treiber müssen DirectX 3D DDI ab Version 10 unterstützen und Intel-Treiber müssen im Jahr 2014 oder später veröffentlicht worden sein."
(I need directX 3D DDI version 10 or higher - git DirectX version 12, and Intel drivers from 2014 or newer - have no clue).
I did contact Adobe but i would also like to hear some user voices.
Can someone help me? Thanks.
As you saw in the error message, you need a system that support Direct3D DDI version 10 to run XD. If your system only supports DDI version 9, then you won't be able to run XD.
If you'd like to double-check, on your system you can run dxdiag and look in the Display tab.

Hi fxmountain,
There are essential minimum hardware requirements for XD to work.
Please see this doc- Adobe XD System requirements.
I am not sure if VM will meet all these requirements.

Ankush

Hello Ankush,
The Vm i am using, comes with graphic support. It is also able to handle processor and ram from host.
It is running on 1920x1080. And comes with a custom GPU driver (VBoxDispD3D.dll Version 5.2.0.0). Direct3D-DD is on 9Ex. Direct3D-Acceleration is activaded.
Does that helps?

Virtualbox driver - VBoxDispD3D.dll is only supporting Direct3D DDI version 9Ex
Any clue how to update the Virtualbox driver?
