Adobe XD exports bloated PDFs, why?

Yep. That's my basic question. We still route PDFs for reviews in many situations for many reasons I won't go into here.

Now it may be that we just need to use low rez photos in our mockups. For example, I mocked up an html email design that is 600px by 3320px. It has one large photo [540 x 270] and two smaller photos [90 x 90 each]. There are also a couple of svg files places — logo, small icon art. When I make a PDF of this file, it is over 55mb. Even after optimizing it for mobile, it's still 51mb.

@Paul_Bunyar :hundred_points:it's not that Adobe didn't invent the Portable Document Format (PDF) in '93 – they maybe just forgot about looking left/right (Indesign/Illustrator/Acrobat Export etc.) when implementing PDF Export to XD 🤣

At the moment it's easier to Export JPG/PNG and then, with 1 click create a single PDF inside Acrobat.
