Android Version?

Community Beginner ,
Oct 29, 2018 Oct 29, 2018

Hi, I've done a quick prototype in XD and want to try it on an Android tablet but it wont display it properly (I have the xd Android app), its a 10.5" device but only shows a 2" square section of what ive done, it also has it in portrait and not landscape.

I've tried the file on an ipad and it works fine.

The Android device isnt brand new and says its running Android Version 7.0, would this make a difference?.

Cheers

I've been onto the tablet manufacturers and they have had a quick look at the spec you have on line and say their CPU isnt compatible with what you need as a basic so thats what the problem has been.

I will look at sourcing a compatible tablet for the testing we need to do.

Hi Glenadambirchall,

Sorry for the delay in response, I would request you to share the link of the prototype using a private message and the screenshot that appears on your screen. I would also like to know the version of Adobe XD that you are using on your machine and on the mobile device.

Thanks,

Atul_Saini

Hi,

Not sure how to private message on here yet but will figure it out.

I've tried a few different setups for the document and even with just one page it still doesnt open on the Android tablet, works fine on the ipad.

The adobe version is the latest one as I have a creative cloud account and only downloaded the version im using a week or so ago, same as the app version it was downloaded from the playstore just the other day so assuming its the latest version as well.

The tablet says its running Android 7.

Could you please try to open a simple document on your Android Tablet and check if that works? Please cross check the system requirements available here: -Adobe XD System requirements as well.

If I open creative cloud in a browser I can view the artboards but only as individual artboards not as as working prototype..

If I open the xd app I can see the files I have uploaded ranging from ones with multiple artboards to one with just one artboard, when I try to open them I just get a black screen.

I can open web sites, pdf files, images, videoa etc on the tablet.

The tablet says its running Android 7, should xd work on version 7.0?

Is there a minimum graphics set up xd needs to make it function properly?
