Auto play for looping video not working

Hi Community,

 

I've had some on & off success using the automatic video play feature.  Not sure if this is user error, but the video I've placed in the layout does not play.  Video is only 2.4 mgs.  MP4 format.

 

Any advice would be appreciated

@stevestrauch i have a video downloaded, also a MP4, but it's 10.5 MB. We both have a video as seen in both your screenshot and mine. And we see the blue play button. In my case, I can play the video? By any chance could the video be corrupted? Hence, why it can't be played?

@Michael Chow I see you have "play on tap" selected.  If I set mine to the same, it will play.  It does not play automatically.  Even more confusing, if I view my design through a shared video link, the automatic play works.  Go figure... it has to be a bug.

 

Additionally, if I set the video to "play on tap", with loop setting on, the video does play on tap, but does not loop.

@stevestrauch that's weird... i wonder if resetting Xd preferences would do the trick or not. 

Relaunch Adobe XD. As it starts up, immediately hold down Shift  Ctrl  Alt (PC) or Shift  Command Option (MAC). 

A dialog box MIGHT appear asking if you want to delete the Adobe XD settings file. Click "Yes" to confirm.
On my MAC, it didn't give me a dialog box, but I know it worked because, this now pop-up open in German?

You must restart XD to the language to change to the effect.

As well, another dialog box stating my Plugins have been disabled!
