Dear Adobe Team,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a dedicated user of Adobe's suite of creative tools for over 30 years, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the developments surrounding (or lack of) Adobe XD. While I understand the competitive landscape is ever-evolving, I firmly believe that discontinuing Adobe XD is a disservice to the design community and detrimental to Adobe's standing as an industry leader in creative software.
Adobe XD is not just another design tool; it is an integral part of a workflow that many designers have come to rely on. Its seamless integration (copy and paste for example) with other Adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator provides a unified and efficient environment for creative professionals. This interconnectedness is a significant advantage that no other platform offers, and it is crucial for maintaining a cohesive creative process.
The decision to shift focus away from Adobe XD and letting competing as Figma thrive, might seem practical from a business standpoint, but it overlooks the unique needs and preferences of designers who rely on Adobe XD’s distinct features. The design community values the tool's powerful prototyping capabilities, robust design systems, and intuitive user interface. These elements make Adobe XD a preferred choice for many who seek a tool that understands the nuances of design rather than solely focusing on production and developer handoff.
Moreover, the growing emphasis on collaborative design, which Figma excels at, does not negate the need for a niche product that prioritizes the designer's experience and creativity. Adobe XD's potential lies in enhancing and expanding its current features to better support collaborative efforts while continuing to innovate in ways that resonate with designers. By refining and advancing Adobe XD, Adobe can cater to the unique demands of both designers and developers, offering a balanced tool that meets the needs of a diverse user base.
I urge Adobe to consider the long-term implications of abandoning yet another product (GoLive, Muse) and now Adobe XD. Instead, invest in its development by incorporating feedback from the design community, maybe enhance its collaborative features, but more importantly leveraging Adobe's unparalleled ecosystem. By doing so, Adobe can reaffirm its commitment to empowering designers and maintaining its position as a pioneer in creative software.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I am confident that with continued support and development, Adobe XD can achieve its full potential and continue to be an indispensable tool for designers around the world.
Sincerely,
Daniel

You are over a year late in this appeal. XD has been shuttered for a long, long time (this was happening even before the public became aware of the Figma offer). XD was a great tool, but we have to move on to new solutions to craft our designs.

Yes, well over a year or two since development strted ramping down... STILL we are here missing XD... this is what this call to action is for... please re-evaluate your decision Adobe! Let the missed Figma deal be the spark that ignites.
I know it's a stretch, but I still miss XD and love any project that is done with it. Figma is another thing to me. I have well over 50 projects in Figma but it lacks the speed XD has.

I meean, it doesn't hurt to ask. By staying silent, Adobe won't hear of the need and assume everything is okay. Only the squeeky wheel has a chance at getting some oil.

adobe, please see your loyal subjects here in this 🙂
Bring it back as a lightweight UX/Ui tool at least. Adobe Lightroom style.

I support Daniel. It's been two years now, but my colleagues and I continue to use XD every day. Despite the lack of development of the product, it is better than others in terms of speed and convenience. I understand Daniel, because I have also been working as a designer for more than 30 years. And Adobe is something significant for every designer. XD is truly the missing link and I would be happy if Adobe would let it exist. Even without development.

Yes, isn't it weird how they found a sweet spot with XD? So much faster, both in the app itself and to actually throw out ideas without the hassle of having to have development to think of. Truly a creative tool.
Adobe... please? 🙂

daniel@creativespace.es i totally agree with you...but I also agree with @Chris W. Griffith too.... the ship for Xd has sailed...and eventually, it will sink one day....when....that is anyone's guess! I would still suggest using/learning Figma, or PenPot just in case Xd just sinks to to the bottom!

Ship has sailed... so let's pirate it back! 😄
Make Adobe open-source it and see if any clever developers can make it active again... Creative Cloud or not.

daniel@creativespace.es that will never happen to make it 'open source'

Sorry, ain't going to happen. I was around for the effort to open-source the Flex framework, and know the hell that took.

Adobe, what are you doing? 🙂
Developing Photoshop for mobile!?! That can't be dollar best spent 😉
Put some of it on reviving XD without all the 3d bells and whistles (you did when you closed it down) and focus on fast designs, simple prototyping, sharing with/presenting to clients. That is the sweet spot for now.

Yes xd is great and I like that I can use it all the time, he's smoother than penpot and figma because he doesn't run as a web or webview, he's a binary program, he's also easier to use and leaves a lot of time for work, I really hope that adoeb will add new features to him. I wish adoeb would add new features to him. Bring him back to life and I think he might bring more revenue to adobe.
