I'm new to XD but have used other design tools for years. AFAIK only Axure has the capability of having an interaction in one component trigger a state chane in another component on the same artboard. In Figma, my workaround was to add an overlay on the same position and that wasn't the most elegant way. Is there a way to do this in XD? It would be particularly useful since when used nested components. In Axure, this was called a "raised event".
I'm thoroughly enjoying using XD as it provides best of both the worlds to people who prefer single artboard prototyping (me) and those who like to have multi-artboards. We are 99% of the way there, except for this last mile problem. Thanks in advance everyone for your suggestions!
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I am afraid, as of now, we don't have this feature in Adobe XD yet, however, we have received a similar request on Adobe XD UserVoice: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/38959297-allow-components-event-to-change-states-of-other-c
