Cloud documents taking too long to open

My shared cloud documents take too long to open, and when they do, they start saving right away without any action from me. This saving action sometimes takes up to 10min. sometimes longer.

 

It is extremely frustrating as I cannot be agile in meetings when asked to review a certain file.

 

Please address this issue, I have tried the solution suggested on this post without success, plus I cant always shut XD down and go through the steps:

Recently my organization has been discussing moving to Figma and I can no loponger defend XD if a function as simple as openning a file is a major pain point of the application.

One year and one month later and this is still an issue for me, my team and our productivity.

I have the same problem, and I can't work. I have something to deliver next week, and it might end up costing my company a lot of money if it's not addressed. Any update or work being done?

To give an idea, I have only two images I reuse, six artboards, and XD is using 38gig of memory... I have 32. Every change sends the CPU and memory into a wild ride, with the Activity Monitor saying it's not responding, but after about 5 minutes (literal, not an exaggeration), it does save. Like the original poster, I cannot send a file since it's a confidential client project. 

 

Adobe CC: 5.6.2.1

Adobe XD: 49.0.12.14 x64

 

System:
MacBook Pro 2019, macOS Monterey 12.2.1 

2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

If files are large, they can take longer to download. 10 minutes is a very long time for a file to open, so I wonder how large your file is. To see how large (MB) the file size is, refer to the Creative Cloud app's list view, or you could save a copy of the file locally and see how large it is.

 

If it's a really large file, my guess is you have some very large photos. If you bring in smaller versions of those images, that would reduce the file size.

It's happening to my team members now as well. Files I have invited them to edit are taking a really long time to open.

Please help with this. It is becoming a major pain point for using XD.

This has still not addressed my underlying issue. Please read previous messages.

Some of my files take too long to open.

The files open and, immediately after they start a "saving" process which in some cases can take up to 10 minutes to complete.

We apologize for the frustration. Could you please share your Adobe ID, location, and phone number with me over a private message? If possible, please generate logs, crash dumps, and spin dumps.

 

Steps to collect Spin dump-

 

Win

  • Launch Task Manager
  • Select the Adobe XD process
  • Right-click on the Adobe XD process
  • Select “Create dump file.”
  • This will generate a binary file.

 

Mac

  • Launch Activity Monitor
  • Select Adobe XD process (might show as “Not Responding”)
  • Click on the gear in the upper left of the Activity Monitor
  • Select “Spindump”
  • This will generate a text file

 

Once the logs are generated, please upload the files to a shared location such as CC or Dropbox and share the URL with me over a private message. Please also share the details of your operating system and the screenshot of About XD info page.

 

I will try my best to escalate the issue.

  1. Please share a screenshot of the About XD info page.
  2. Is this happening on a specific file or multiple files?
  3. Are you connected to a private network or an enterprise work network?

This happens on all files. Some take longer than others.

I do not connect to a private or enterprise network. I am however on an enterprise license.
