Creative Cloud fonts not syncing with XD

I've downloaded some fonts in creative cloud, or activated them rather. But they're not showing up in XD. 
after restarting the program some went through but now I'm trying to add more fonts (the rest of the family) and they are not showing up in XD. 
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Note: I have tried closing XD and deactivating/reactivating fonts. Does not work consistently. Thank you.
