[Import & Export]-Adobe XD support for webp format.

Community Beginner ,
Mar 09, 2020 Mar 09, 2020

Please consider supporting the webp format. This would improve the workflow from prototyping to development with image files already optimized for using in production.

Disregard that. VPN did the trick for me.

I'd just like to say that I think it does a disservice to the Adobe community to direct their users to a third-party company to make a feature request for the software that they pay for every month. Adobe is a large and very capable company. They should create some sort of request mechanism as part of their support community.

3 years later and, of course, this still hasnt happened.

Makes total sense for XD to work with Webp images.

Big wondefull image swap in .webp and reswap it to tiny .png for XD make me crazy.

Since its launch, what have they improved? There is absolutely nothing that has changed, it's really a shame to pay a license for a software that claims to be made for the web that doesn't even allow the most optimized format for the web. The worst thing is that you can't even import an eps or an .ai in the software either.

They probably bought figma to have no competitor and to do nothing on the software.

Shocking that XD doesn't support WebP. Are there any rumors to this happening soon, like tomorrow? lol...

I think development on XD is mostly at a maintaince level, so I would not expect this functtionality to be added. If you are needing this format I would take the PNGs and create a conversion workflow.

I think Adobe should just go ahead and make the "converson workflow" part of the program since we pay them for things like this.

Well if the product was being actively developed that would be nice, but the product is dead for all intents.
