Hi !
I wanted to know if someone had the same issue. I have a prototype file for each of our applications at work, and sometimes when iterations of a functionality are not going to be developed soon but we decide to come back to it later, I will archive the version of the prototype containing it (= mark version).
I regularly go back to previous versions of my prototype to check ideas I had and archived for later.
Today, when I tried to check a marked version, instead of the usual, it displayed an empty state message.
What I wanted to see (screenshot from another prototype) :
What I saw instead of my dozens of marked versions :
...Where is all of my archived work ? :')
I of course checked https://assets.adobe.com, but it also displayed an error message saying it can't load the document's version history :
Even when making changes and saving, Adobe XD does not produce a history for this file anymore.
This file's only recent change, despite normal prototyping, was renaming it. But I didn't recall loosing the history right after renaming it, I think I would've noticed sooner.
Help ?
Hi @Ranjitha HR , I checked, and the Document History is now functioning as before. Thank you so much for your help!

Oh, Adobe XD, how I adore,
Your magic touch, forevermore.
But alas, a mishap has occurred,
My version history has been interred.
Lost in the depths of digital space,
Gone are the milestones I could trace.
Oh, how I yearn for those precious saves,
Like leaves blown away by autumnal waves.
No worries, dear Adobe, it's fine,
Who needs history, that outdated line?
Who cares about progress and growth?
Let's embrace chaos, we need it the most!
No more backups, no more control,
Let's dance with uncertainty, heart and soul.
For what is progress but a tedious bore?
I'd rather lose it all, and then some more.
So thank you, Adobe, for this poetic twist,
Despite losing my history, I shall persist.
Embracing the unknown with a sarcastic cheer,
Oh, how I love the chaos you bring, dear!

Anybody from Adobe cares to reply ? My company lost a year and a half of archived work, I don't think it's benign.
Just tell us if you stop all support and only work figma now, so we can plan accordingly. I know the subscription to Adobe XD isn't much, but we're still paying clients, so it'd be nice not to be ignored.

I feel like there is an issue with this in Lightroom. I have made a post on it where I can no longer save versions of my edits. Has anyone reported this or aware of it?

I can confirm that this is still an issue in 2024. I just lost version history on a super important file 😞
I'm running XD version 57.1.12.2 arm64, Creative Cloud Sync 7.0.0.9 on a Sonoma 14.3 Macbook (M1).

Update: when the file is saved, nothing goes into version history. It always shows the empty state ("Go back in time with document history.").

It'll never historize anymore. I usually clone the file, which [abuse removed by moderator] the libraries attached to it if other documents depended of the library of that file (but you can replace those I think). Loss is a part of life, and it's Adobe's mission to keep us in check about the meaninglessness of earthly (and virtual) possessions.

Here are the answers to the questions inside the suggestion you linked:
- Yes, I can see the file in https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents and the last modification date appears to be correct.
- No, i don't see the revisions list inside the dropdown at the top of the XD window. Instead I see this:

-Close CoreSync and all Adobe related processes from the Task Manager/Activity Monitor.

Hello Rishabh,
I've done as you say, but the issue is still present.
To be clear: version history is broken for some files only (important ones, unfortunately) while for some other files is still working. Also other users who I am collaborating with on these files see the same behaviour.
Looks like an issue "of the files". Not of my machine only.
Here's the About XD screenshot you requested:
