Unable to copy and paste into Adobe XD.

It is my first time using adobe xd 
and im trying to copy(photos,text,shape ......)  but i can't paste anything 

i have this problem only in adobe xd
i am working in adobe xd 28.6.12.3 
and my os is Windows 10 1903

I had the same issue on Windows 10 (version 22H2) with Adobe XD 59.0.12.2 — I couldn’t copy or paste anything inside XD.

What solved it for me was running this command in the Windows Run dialog (Win + R😞

powershell "Start-Service TabletInputService"


This command starts the TabletInputService (also known as Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service), which handles text input in Windows.
When this service is stopped, typing and clipboard functions can stop working properly in some apps, including Adobe XD.

After running it, copy and paste started working again immediately.

same problem as links. version: 38.0.12 (starter), creative cloud sync 4.9.0.19, OS name microsoft windows 10 pro, version 10.0.19041 build 1904

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please update XD to the latest version which is 38.1 and let us know if it still happens?

updated. it still happens.

also with larger files i occasionally get this bug:

which i don't care about becuase it's fine after i exit and reopen. Just thought i'd let you know.

Not being able to copy and paste is a major issue though.

  • Are you trying to copy the images from one XD file into another?
  • Are you using keyboard shortcut like ( CTRL+ C ) to copy and (CTRL + V) to paste or the menu option?
  • Is it happening with a specific file or all the files?
  • Is it possible for you to share your workflow with the help of video for better understanding?

Thanks for replayin:
    •Same problem from xd file into anthor

      And in the same file

    •im trying copying and pasting with keybaord shortcuts 
     and from the menu option

    •it is happening with all files

I inserted a video for my problem 
and i hope you can help me
