XD app lagging on mobile

While viewing any prototype (both cloud loaded and live view) scrolling through pages, changing pages, animations and almost everything else in the prototype is extremely slow (4fps or something).

i tried reinstalling the app on my phone but nothing is solving it. I'm working on an iPhone 13 pro.

Any news on this? I'm still getting an incredibly laggy experience on my iPhone 12 mini.

I might be at fault here. I'm on iOS 16 beta, and that might be the reason. I tried the prototype on a colleague's phone (iPhone 12 mini with iOS 15.6) and everything works fine.

I think I have the same issue with you, Everything is working smoothly before I update to iOS 16.

I don't think support was very honest. It's not a bug. Seeing as how I posted it when iOS 15 came out and now it's happening with iOS16 it's probably because they need to update the app to work on the latest iOS. I cant wait for figma to become part of Adobe cause XD feels more amaturistic by the day.

Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know that as of IOS 16.1 Beta 4, this issue no longer exists. It feels smooth and back to normal. So, It could have been some error on Apple's part.

I have the same experience now, with iOS16. This issue sometimes there was and in the previews OS versions but the scrolling was smoothly generally. It's very frustrating and i can't go further with my design proccess. I hope to be solved in the next update...

Yes, me too. I have the same problem. The XD app is unusable. Adobe needs to updat for iOS 16 asap.

This is over a month now and no update from Adobe regarding the issue. The app is still laggy and I am getting frustrated day by day.

Yes, even with 1 slide iphone template with simple slide up/down
transition still lags and hardly moves.

Hi there

As sugested I shared a project and my tech specs via confidential-Link. Hope it helps.

But there's one more thing …

Even without an open XD-project on the desktop, you could see a reloading-blink on the mobile XD-screen once the iPhone is connected with an USB-to-lighning-cable. Like it tries to re-connect every half a second … guess thea's where the problem starts.

You could have shared any XD file with just two artboards because the app lags even though there are just 2 artboards to process.

I'm not creating a test prototype you can easily set up yourself? It's on the latest iOS and XD is also updated to the latest version. It happens with all files, but the larger they are the slower they get.
