Hello,

Whenever I press share it loads half a blue circle rather quickly:

Then sits like that for a while before coming up with the error 44:

I tried with smaller files and it shared fine. This file's size is 11.6mb and has ~60 artboards. I'm guessing this is just too big then? Is there a way around it (better internet speed?).

Hi,

it seems that you are trying to upload more data than your network connection can handle without causing a timing out of our services. We are working on some fixes that we hope to release soon. In the meant time: could you try to upload just about 10 artboards at a time? You can first just share and create a new link and then use the update button, that way you should end up with your complete prototype and it would reduce the data that needs to be uploaded significantly.
This is definitley not ideal but might give you the chance to create a complete prototype.

I get this every time I try to publish a prototype, regardless of computer (mac and PC). It gets to 50% and it just stops. Theres only 16 artboards and the total size is 1.3 mb...but I've tried to publish a blank project and it does the same thing. I've never published anything before FYI.

Anything you can do to help would be great.

This error happens on both a mac and PC, so I don't think that's the issue. The version number is 11.0.22.10

I have the same problem, all ok if I publish the link Pubblish Prototype, but I get this error if I publish the link Pubblish Design Specs:

"There was a problem updating the prototype you previously published (error 44:47:0). Choose "New Link" to create a new prototype link."

My Xd version is 12.0.12.10 and I have a MAckBookPro 2,9 GHz Intel Core i7

The same issue is happening to me, but only on a larger project. I went in a made a test web page and tried to publish it with success.  I went back to my original project, and the progress bar is stuck at 0%.

I managed to get around this by A: deleting a previous prototype link I'd generated, then publishing design specs without the assets included (silly right?) ... I've exported the assets separately and will have to just send them to the developer in one folder instead of using the seamless(?) experience ... oh wait it's an experience program whose experience is no good? haha.

Anyway, that's how i got it to work. hope that helps someone.

Can you clarify why it must be an enterprise account? I'm sure there's more than enough users not using enterprise that covers the vast majority of the Adobe user base?

There's enough of us "normal sized" businesses to justify this being escalated and sorted out globally right?

Since the Adobe Symposium in Sydney, I've been completely blown away by Adobe's lack of support for anyone but big agencies / enterprise clients (especially at the symposium) ... I've been using these products for over 15 years and I'm at the point where if an alternative appears, I'm jumping ship.

Sorry, I'll stop ranting here - I was told by an Adobe representative there's no other place for adobe feedback so figure I'd get a little bit in while I'm here...

In kahon's message it was mentioned that their company paid account had the same issue. An individual CC subscriber wouldn't be the one to contact Adobe to talk about an entire company's support issue, it would be the administrator who would do that. That's all Prean was suggesting, not that everyone has to work for a big company.

I've seen Preran tell individual subscribers to contact support too, especially for issues where existing known solutions weren't working. In this case there is one known solution, and also an ongoing report about the problem. Did you read through this page?:

That page is also the best place to send feedback about this, and you can subscribe to the bug report so that you'll be notified when other people add notes to the report, some of which may be how they solved the problem.

It sounds like you know more about the whole Adobe ecosystem than the last three or four Adobe representatives I've been in touch with.

My comments about the level of care for Enterprise vs. small businesses still stand however, my experience has been getting progressively worse, but this isn't the right place for that discussion so I'll leave it there.

  • What is the OS and XD version you are using?
  • If you're using Windows, have you installed the latest updates to your graphics drivers? Visit the manufacturer's site to check for and apply the latest updates to graphics drivers.
  • If you have another computer, can you try reproducing this issue on it and let us know of your observations?

Hello,

With this last XD update, I can have a Specs link updated, however I get anyway the Error 44:63 (See image).

The link have the thumbs (overview) but when I click in a screen I have an eternal loading (See image).

Many times I work from home, so I use a wireless connection and not a cable one and I can’t at all do the upload the links.

All this constants problem doing the specs links is really causing me work problems with the dev team and product owners. How I can resolve all this?

Please see my answers:

  • What is the OS and XD version you are using?
  • macOS Mojave -  Version 10.14.5XD Version 20.2.12.1, Creative Cloud Sync 4.3.0.292

  • If you're using Windows, have you installed the latest updates to your graphics drivers? Visit the manufacturer's site to check for and apply the latest updates to graphics drivers.
  • I’m using a MacBook Pro

  • If you have another computer, can you try reproducing this issue on it and let us know of your observations?
  • A tried in another MacBook and I have the same behaviour.

  • Create a new link and publish.
  • Try publishing a simple file(one artboard with one shape).

Note: You may have also encountered a network issue when publishing. If you are sharing Design Spec, disable include assets.

Hello,

The loading is not related to the internet connection, because I’m using a good enterprise connection, by cable. I believe it's because the link have problem and don’t have all the information to present correctly.

With one artboard I can share. But that doesn’t resolve my problem, because I need to share a project with several artboards.

Sharing without assets will not resolve my problem, because the dev team use the link mostly to have access to the assets.

I duplicated the file and I broke the link, creating a new one. This way it's generating but this is a problem to me...

It's not the first time that a link stops working forcing me to create a new one, but this link is spread all over several JIRA tasks and it is used by diferente teams (in different countries).. creating a new link i'm creating also problems... It's really important keep the same link!

If you have no way to help me by keeping the same link ... then I have no other solution. However, there is no guarantee that I will not have to re-create it in a while, since it has happened in the past.

I have the same issue since a few days and it's becoming more and more annoying working in XD when every update seems to bring new features but at the price of creating big issues to previously existing and perfectly working one!

Now I cannot change/generate a new link since the prototype is spread through several devs and stakeholder, with a lot of direct links to  single screens all part of the main prototype. Hope you appreciate how frustrating this is and since we are WORKING with XD we are wasting time and money (sometimes it really looks like you think most of your users are still people testing out or having fun playing around to see how the software works!).

It's not the first time I have to spend time here to bring out such problems with XD and crossing fingers...

Please come back with a solution.

it ended making a mess in a rush, deleting old links and creating new ones without assets to be able to at least give devs access to the link a view the screens.

Obviously not having access to assets is a big issue since they cannot work unless we export all assets in each desired format and size...we are talking of more than 900 pieces of graphics!

Unbelievable stress and people around not very happy!!!

I really wish you can come back with fix asap since it's not possible to work this way

Hi Harshika,

I tried it. It works. But the core of the problem is that developers can not get assets. Before the last update of adobe xd, I did not have any problems with it. What should i do?

Turn off the assets option can't be at all a solution... The link is for assets and specs.. so I need to always have assets.

I created a new link for Android prototype and until now is working.. But I never know until what update will works!

Now I'm starting to have problem for iOS product version..... each time I change a link I need to review all the links with the PO all over JIRA tasks...

one month later, after another update, this thing is still unfixed and exporting to Zeplin is also broken. Now Xd is a lonely island. Good job Adobe. Has been using Xd for years but I finally lost patience.

I'm experiencing this issue too. This happens to be the largest dev link I've ever tried to create (730 assets) and I get the error every time. It exports fine if I don't include assets for download, which defeats the purpose of creating a dev link.

Hi Harshika,

I am also experiencing this issue and it is having a major impact on deliverables with my team (not to mention that I am getting The "Error 49" issue with a cloud file that holds my master components. I spent a week troubleshooting with Adobe and there still does not seem to be a permanent fix).

Can you please give a status update on what Adobe is planning to fix the Development Link asset bug so I can hand off to my engineers? These are business-impacting issues.

Hi

This is becoming an embarrassment, I think Adobe should be quite ashamed, this feature has been broken for over a month now and it is placing us as the users in some pretty nasty situations, we have tight deadlines in terms of development and the designs just cannot be shared for developers, I reduced my file to just one artboard with like 45 assets and still the issue persist, I wonder if Adobe really care about the users out here and the embarrassment we face really when will this be resolved

I resolved (for now) my problem generating new links, but I have no guarantees that this will not happen again.

Creating this new link meant that I had to change an endless number of Jira tasks.

I was able to solve my problem which was the same error. By process of elimination, I was able to figure out that it had to do with one jpg image in particular that a client had provided to me. I resaved it as a png and the file shared as it should. The file size was actually bigger after resaving as a png, so the size of the file was not the issue. I'm going to try on another file that had the same problem and see if it works. Hope this helps!
