After Effects Beta 25 won't open (DLL missing) Other versions work

Might be a stupid question, but up until yesterday AE Beta 25 was working fine, now I can't open it. I'm told I'm missing some dll files (MSVCP140.dll, ucrtbased.dll, VCRUNTIME140D.dll and VCRUNTIME140_1D.dll). If I downgrade AE, it opens just fine. Every other Adobe program works as well, even Premiere Beta 25. After Effects Beta 25 is the only one I'm having trouble with.

I've tried uninstalling every Visual C++ package and installing again, still getting the error messages.

Sorry about this issue. Another team in Adobe checked in some shared code that made an unexpected requirement on a debug version of a DLL. We have removed that dependency and build 40 which is pushing out to Beta over the next couple of hours will have this fixed.

Same here - one day it was fine, today it won't open. The 'fun thing' is I now can't open the Project file on any previous versions of After Effects except the AE Beta 25.0x33 and I need to deliver the files tomorrow.

Exactly! I was halfway through a very important project. I didn't realize I had auto-update enabled. Now I'm gonna have to start from zero because I'm late. Lost a whole day of work yesterday trying to figure out what went wrong.

I know you can downgrade a project when using the latest version of AE, but there should be a an alternative for this cases in which the latest version won't work. At least for beta apps, since they're more likely to have glitches
