Essential Properties not translating correctly from 2021 to 2022?

Good afternoon, unless I'm missing something (quite possible as it's been a long couple of days) I'm not having some essential properties created in 2021 carrying over to 2022 the same way. There used to be a dial down arrow saying "Essential Properties" when you look at the layer properites. I had it set up so that when you did dial down the EP you could modify the source text of a layer by right clicking "edit value" and enter in the new text in the following window. I'm not seeing that anywhere in 2022. Has anyone else run into this?
