As the title mentions - if the properties pannel is active (even while being collapsed) - moving a shapre is extremely slow.
Is there any temp fix for that?

Good find. That's not the expected behavior. Thanks for sharing the screen recording.
I'm attempting to reproduce issue in-house. I'll update post if I need a test project, preferences, etc.,

We’ve made several speed Improvements to Ae that appear to have improved the performance when dragging layers in the comp viewer panel. Per my in-house testing, live interactions (dragging, scrubbing) are much improved with the PP open. However, performance results are subjective depending on the project, source, and comp. So, can you please let us know how Properties Panel performance is now looking with real world projects.
Please report back your findings using the latest beta build of Ae 22.4 (x41 or higher).
Thanks

Gernally the properties panel is introducing a lot of jank into things when it wasn't there before. I hope they clean this up before release....
