Receiving Error when trying to delete hidden shape layer. AE Beta 22.2.0 build 47; apple silicon

After Effects (Beta) error: CSelectronASSERT fail: CSelectron: layer is null

Very primitive layer contains of 1 ellipse shape, no effects applied

Steps to reproduce:
    1. uncheck 'eye' to hide the layer, to make it visually disappear
    2. select the layer
    3. press 'delete'/backspace button
 
Result: After Effects (Beta) error: CSelectronASSERT fail: CSelectron: layer is null 
Expected: normal delete with no error
 
System info
    Application: After Effects (Beta) v22.2.0.47
    OS: macOS v12.0.1, RAM: 32,00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10


Attaching the project im currently working on. Saved right after the discovery and 'undo' the layer romoval.

If i open it up and trying to delete the hidden layer named EYE — it leads to the error described above
