3D Like rotation with Flash.

Is there a simple AC3 code to make a object rotate? I wish for the object to rotate on the X axis (in other words, if it were a 3D object, it would look like a rotation) Is there a simple AC3 fix for this?

Also, to prevent another thread being made; I used Arial text, then I swited to David text, but no matter what I try (Save, republish, simulate download) the text stays Arial text; what can I do to fix this?

With CS4+ versions of Flash you could use something like the following to rotate an object that you assign the instance name "mc" to...

mc.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, spinIt);

function spinIt(evt:Event):void {
   mc.rotationX += 3;
}

There is no signficance to shooding "mc"... it could have been named whatever you prefer.

As for the font issue, try embedding the font and see if that helps.  Also select the textfield when you change the font, not the just text inside it.

It is better to have separate posts for separate problems/topics.  It helps people with the same problem find them easier.

CS3 doesn't support 3D properties, so the best you can hope for is to gradually change the scaleY property between 0 and 1 continuously to get a similar spinning effect (-1 to 1 is an alternative).... though lacking the depth perspective.

You can always get a 3D program that generates Flash timeline frames of something rotating (swift3D if it is still around) and do the animation without code.
