Adobe Animate 23.0.3 publish HTML5 problem (no spritesheet in images\ folder)

New Here ,
Nov 11, 2023 Nov 11, 2023

I just upgraded my Adobe Animate from 2019 version to 23.0.3 version today.

However, when I publish HTML5, the animate shows following message

** 11 Bitmaps packed successfully into 1 spritesheet(s).

but there is no file in default folder images\.

I have another laptop running with the same version of 23.0.3. It does not have this problem.

Anyone can advise?

after clicking Test, it opened browser with a blank page. I checked images\ folder, there was no spritesheets at all. But it worked for my old 2019 version.

open your browser's developer console after it loads your test from animate.

Capture.PNGCapture2.PNGCapture3.PNGCapture4.PNGCapture5.PNG

The above are screenshot of the process.

1. Publish Setting to Spritesheets

2. Message of successful spritesheet.

3. Blank browser page

4. No spritesheet in images\ folder

5. Browser console.

Thanks

open your fla in animate.  click control > test movie > in browser

then, if you see a problem, check the developer console.

that confirms you're not following directions.  ie, i see no problem with your fla.  the problem is whatever you're doing to test (eg, trying to open the html on your local file system).

I have no problem to generate it with another laptop, but just can't generate it using this laptop.

I reinstalled creative cloud but the problem persists.

Any Adobe Developer can advise?

create a new desktop folder

in animate click file > save as > and save your fla with a new name to that new folder

click control>test movie>in browser

Tried different browser but still blank as there is no spritesheet in images\ folder which is required to run.

Tried publish it directly without test, the console shows spritesheet generated, but it is not found in images\ folder.

Could it be some security setting that Animate generated it but could not save in the folder?

Yes. If i set export as "Image Assets", I am able to see all individual images in images\ folder. It just can't generate spritesheet although output message shows successfully done.

i don't think it's an animate problem unless it's something specific to your os/other software and hardware.

I know. My other laptop can work well.

Need developer to advise any restriction to the OS/Software.

I am using apple macbook with parallel desktop of windows system.

There is no such issue with animate 19 version.

LATEST

why are you using animate on an emulated os? that significantly increases potential problems.  ie, install on your mac os.

also the developer console should be showing a different problem if loading that spritesheet were the problem.
