Adobe Animate - HTML5 Change button text

Hello, I have been trying to look everywhere to look for a code which simply changes my button text to the input I would like it. 

I am currently creating a quiz and would like thouse buttons to be moved onto the next scene with different text input.

I have tried to do BtnName.text = "text example!";

but still not working

Is this AS3 or JavaScript?

I have attached and provided the pictures for proof. I have tried all instance paths including the instance name as well as the button name and nothing seems to change
