adobe animation lagging frame player

New Here ,
Oct 07, 2017 Oct 07, 2017

hello

when I draw a couple of frames together in animate the frame player lags a lot and when I try to play the animation the all the other places where there is not so many frames the animation is completely fine but as soon as it gets to the more clustered places the animation slows down to a turtle pace and becomes very choppy. I cant even drag the player head over that area without it lagging.

if I restart the program it doesn't help and this has happened with my editing program and my previous animation program so it might just be my computer.

this happens when i have around 7-10 and more frames,

that's not adequate for large projects but is adequate for most assuming your other specs are adequate.

If you're talking about ram, 8 GB should be just fine. It may be your processor that's not good enough.

Could you take a screenshot of a frame that's running slow?

What's making it slow down is that you're using a very detailed style on those lines, and having more ram is not going to make a difference in this case. If the lines are drawn using strokes, then you could temporarily switch them to a more simple style while you're working on it. You could also try changing View > Preview Mode > Fast.

It's because you're using the Paint Brush and not the Brush tool. If you want to use the Paint Brush tool you can change your setting to Draw as Fill in the Properties box there and you'll find it causes MUCH less lag.
