My daughter received Animate CC for Christmas and she is very frustrated because she creates a piece of work and then the program will shut down unexpectedly. It happens every time she uses it. Any ideas?

What the hell is happening with this product??? It crashes ALL THE TIME, from nothing! I'm an iMac/Mabook (Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.2) user and both crashes (Animate CC 18.0.1 Build 115), always losing my work progress, it's ridiculous! Happens with the most simply action as painting something or manipulating shapes or lines!

My daughter has the same problem. After new year Animate started crashing every time she clicks on the Insert menu. We contacted support but they haven't been able to solve the problem. Any good ideas to why this happens and how to fix it?

I've been facing the same issue. It keeps crashing. The other issue I am facing is that it does not export the file to.mov format. Instead, it crashes and the file saves as .swf. This is so frustrating and is really delaying my work.

HI, I am also facing the same problem. I only wanted to start learning this software and I cannot as it keeps crashing from anything. I would need to use this software with premade illustrator files, but the following happens.
Trying to import an illustrator file = crashes and exits
Copy Pastes layers one by one then trying to save the file = crashes and exits
Can Anything be done to fix this issue?
Edition Windows 10 Enterprise
Version 21H2
Installed on ‎26/‎08/‎2020
OS build 19044.2251
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

reset your preferences:
1.assign (if none now exist) a custom keyboard shortcut:
2.reset your preferences* (you should not give up on this until you've tried several times)
3.confirm you were successful by checking your keyboard shortcut was reset
if it's not, return to step 2
if it is reset, check if the problem is resolved
* press and hold Control+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Animate.

It's 2023 and still crashes without heavy workload, seriously wth is wrong with this software?

most of us see no such problem. ie, there's something about your computer system that's playing a key to the crashes.

Because it is a piece of crap software on Mac Intel and Mac Silicon
Still crashes in 2024 : create a new doc, create a rectangle, fiddle with stroke and fill and boooooom... crash. (Tested on MacPro Intel, MacBook Pro M1, MacBook Pro M3)

contact adobe support and then update this thread. there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter (now x):
chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.
