Artefacts obstruct view

Hi! I have this thing where the contents of frame 1 remain visible when scrubbing throught the timeline of a symbol. It makes editing difficult. The artefacts disappear by going up one level and then re-entering the symbol. In my example you can see the hand twice and the arm is visible though the layer's visibility is off.
