So, the audio won't play from the timeline, the edit envelope, and the library. Unless I test the video by pressing Ctrl + Enter and going into the sound properties and clicking test. I did switch in the sync settings to stream and repeat x1. Didn't work. I also restarted my computer and shut it down for over an hour. Didn't work. Closed and re-opened adobe animate. Didn't work. Uninstalling and Re-Installing it again, Including installing the previous version of adobe animate. Didn't work. I was checking the computer audio settings. Everything is set up correctly. No luck with the audio. Please help anyone. Thank you.

this is a sentence fragment with no meaning. "Unless I test the video by pressing Ctrl + Enter and going into the sound properties and clicking test."
what exactly did you intend to convey with that?

I'm probably trying to say that when I test the video or the sound in sound properties, the audio works. But the timeline nor anything else works.
Let me show you what I mean:

if you want sound to work while dragging the playhead on the timeline, the sound's sync property needs to be sync, not event.

What do you mean by "the sound's sync property needs to be sync, not event."? Are you talking about this?

yes.
does your sound play when scrubbing the timeline when sync is set to stream?

Copied
No. Even if I check the desktop audio properties, it somehow doesn't appear adobe animate.

are you wearing your headphones when scrubbing the timeline?

Yes. I used other audio devices, and it still won't work.

reset your preferences:
1.assign (if none now exist) a custom keyboard shortcut:
2.reset your preferences* (you should not give up on this until you've tried several times)
3.confirm you were successful by checking your keyboard shortcut was reset
if it's not, return to step 2
if it is reset, check if the problem is resolved
* press and hold Control+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Animate.

uninstall animate including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
restart your computer
use the desktop app to install animate.
note: if you have an older animate version, it may not be offered via the cc desktop app.

Done that. No luck.

use a browser that allows popups and cookies and contact adobe support by clicking here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human
p.s you can also use phone (but chat is usually quicker), https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html
p.p.s. you can also use twitter to tweet @AdobeCare
p.p.p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-com...

Perhaps the program itself is muted. Do you use Xbox Game Bar, OBS or some other screen capture software? Make sure you didn't mute Animate by accident.

Adobe animate isn't muted. I checked everything in the preferences, and it looked alright.
But for some reason, adobe animate doesn't show up in my desktop audio properties.

Could you share the FLA file with us? A Google Drive link would do. Just to make sure if it's an issue with the file, your PC setup or Animate itself. You're using the latest version right?
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
Yes. I'm using the latest version. Nothing was wrong with the PC audio or anything.
