compressing the file when exporting as a mp4

Dear all,

After exporting my project as an mp4 file in adobe animate the size is too big so then I have to compress it with another tool.

Does adobe animate compress it when exporting as an mp4 file?

Thank you very much in advance,

a fla is already a compressed file so repeated compressing won't do much no matter what's in it.

you can alter your export settings to alter your mp4 file size.  otherwise, there are other apps to compress mp4's that you might check.

could you kindly let me know which settings I need to set and what is the safest size? Is the quality also affects the video? If possible which website do you recommend?

I will export the project from the adobe animate (hopefully compressed and then import it to the articulate)

Thanks,

you need to experiment.  there's a trade-off between quality and file size so there's no one answer for everyone.

The video file size is not that big for MP4, unless you're exporting a lossless MOV by accident. Are you sure you're exporting an MP4? What are your export settings?

For a standard MP4, go to file>export video/media

Choose Format: H.264 / Preset: Default (AME)

Hit export.
