Hello community,
I've been looking around on the forum, but I haven't found anyone with a similar problem. In the past, I could simply select an object's frame in the timeline to delete it or move it using the arrow keys. If this didn't work, it was usually because I didn't have the right tool selected. So, I would press V (for the selection tool), and it would work.
However, this doesn't seem to be possible anymore. Now, I have to select the object on the stage to delete it; otherwise, it doesn't work. I find this to be very annoying, especially when I want to select an object in a layer beneath another object.
I hope someone has a solution. Thank you!
Erik

Hi.
That's still the default behavior. I just tested in latest version of Animate (v 24.0.1).
Which version of Animate are you using?
Maybe you'll need to clear configuration files, re-install it or update it.
Please let us know.
Regards,
JC

Thanks for both answers @JoãoCésar @kglad ,
Turns out you are both right, there is something wrong with my device or installation witch disables the delete button in Animate. To reïnstall is too much of a hassle, for now. But the backspace works, so I'm happy.
