Drawing over a Video?

New Here ,
Jun 10, 2018 Jun 10, 2018

i want to do an Animation with a video in the backround - it will be a handdrawn frame by frame animation, but how do i put the video in there so i can see the video frame by frame and draw over it ? + if i drew over the video how can i make the backround of the drawn things (of this layer) tranzparent so the video shines through). the last time i tried this i could not play the video exept when i rendert it, so i could not draw over it properly, and were i testet drawing blindliy i noticed after rendering, after i startet drawing over there is a white backround over my video.

thanks for Answers and have a nice evening

file>import>video>embed to timeline.

and there's not white over the video unless you add a layer over the video with white.

with as3, use an flvplayback component unless you need to see the video frame-by-frame in order to draw over it.  in that case, import to the timeline.
