dynamic menu

Hello,

I am a bit new at this, but I am creating a flash site in which I want to have it adjusted to the individual browser size. I already have placed an expanding background so that it will fit proportionaly to any site. Now I would like to have a menu which loads from top to bottom (from the very top, crossing to the bottom) but with a style of a fade effect.. not just a bar moving down.. but rather that it is being built while it comes down. For example the right side comes down but a bit after the left side and then the fill color.. and afterwards the text on it. And then have it so that when one clicks on one of the links.. the entire menu moves to the right border of the page so as to make space for the content.

I am not sure if I expressed myself well.

I am not looking for a complete lesson on how to do this.. but more or less what it would take in order for me to go step by step doing the reaserch and building it.

Thank you!

i'm not sure what you're describing but it sounds like you want to create an animated menu with actionscript.  if that's correct, check the Tween class.

Hello.

That would do it for the mobility.. but how would I be able to do it so that the menu bar expands from one end to the other no matter what the browser screen size.. only expanding its length.. not its width so that the bar remains just as slender?

thanks
