ERRORS: An unexpected error occurred during export. [DUPSYMB (watch)]

Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

I had gone through the symbol and deleted each layer one by one hoping to find the problem but I still kept getting the error when I would publish to HTML/js

are you publishing or exporting?

and use the "insert photos" icon to show the error, if it's in english. otherwise, quote it.

Hey kglad, thanks for responding I was publishing from a canvas file and the error message is the title. 

I had opened a new file and copy and pasted all the layers into a blank symbol. I then I went back to my original file and replace the old watch symbol and the error message just magically disappeared.

was the watch symbol imported or did it contain something imported?

It was an old symbol built in Flash. It was all vector art with no bitmaps or  group objects.
