Every object i create is automatically a symbol

Im trying to make a character rig, and i have to keep breaking apart lines because every line i make automatically becomes a symbol! It wasnt like this when i started, and i cant find anything about how to stop it.

It's not a Symbol, it is a Drawing Object.

There is a toggle button called Object Drawing near the bottom of your toolbar. Switch it off.

What does the button look like? I cant find it

Hi.

The icon is a circle inside of a rectangle. It's located in the lower part of the Tools panel.

That button isnt anywhere in my toolbar, i even checked the edit toolbar panel and it wasnt there either

You must select a drawing tool first (e.g.: Classic Brush Tool, Line Tool).

And you may need to resize the Tools panel horizontally by hovering over the cursor on the right side of the panel and drag it to the right when the cursor changes to a double sided arrow so that the buttons on the lower part of the panel will be visible.
