I would like to ask you if is it possible to export in animated gif format an animation with a movie clip object init with its own timeline.

I have a stage with a puppet moving from side to side (main stage/timeline). The head of this puppet change its facial expression (movie clip object with its own timeline)

I would like to export this animation in animated gif format...Could you help?

you just have to make sure the timelines are all the same length inside and out or you can change your movieclips to graphic symbols and that should do it.

Just got here to convert to graphic symbols.

Hi Nicktendo,

thank you for your answer!

I've tried both the solutions but I can't solve my problem:

first I tried converting the movie clip in a graphic object without touching its own timeline (which is actually longer than the main stage).

Then I tried to make all the timelines with the same lenght, but still I can't export in an animated gif properly.

(moreover i need the clip has a slower animation, so I need this timeline be a bit longer than the main stage).

Do you mind if I attach my file here to let you take a look? It s the original file, so you can see first the animation I would like to achieve and then you can tell me what i'm doin wrong.

I would appreciate it a lot!

(try to play the html file first to see both the animations work properly)

Thank You again Nick,

I hope to hear from you soon!

Dave
