graphics not showing in library

Newbie question: I cant get my illustrate vector graphics to show in the library in animate. When i try and bring them in again, it says 'already exists in document' but they are nowhere to be seen! Whats going on?!

Maybe is a naming convention problem. Make sure when you are importing, it doesn't have the same name as maybe a file already in your library.

You are importing an Illustrator AI file into Animate correct? After import do they appear on the stage? Do you see a folder in the document's Library?
