I'm trying to make a gradient fade into 0 alpha sort of as lighting in Animate and I don't know why it doesn't export the blend with the png. I heard you're supposed to apparently use a movie clip but that's basically it.

This is what it's supposed to look like

it doesn't have to be a movieclip, but i don't see any problem exporting a png-24 with an alpha fade that is a movieclip.  what steps are you using that fail?

I've done exactly that but it still does the same thing. I've used "export image" with those settings and it did the same thing that happened in the image I showed and "export png sequence" with it too but it ends up not showing the alpha fade and is just white at the bottom.

what do you mean a png sequence?  you can't use a movieclip to animate an animated export.

and you haven't explained what steps you're using (and neither did i, so saying you did exactly what i did explains nothing).

With export image, I used png-24 with transparency on. I tried exporting it and it did what I showed in the image. That’s all I changed.
