how to find version history of documents?

Hello,

So I was currently working on a huge animation and the copy and paste thing for the frames wasn't working, so I copied all of the frames of the project, deleted them, and then opened a new file and tried to paste them to fix the issue, but it didn't work, now my file might be lost forever. Note that I put around 4 months of work into it 😞

Is there any sort of way to recover a document's version history, and is it possible to restore an old version of the document? Plz, let me know.

is your fla uncorrupted?  if so, you can step backwards with the undo shortcut.

then unless you saved backups or have autosaves, you can't go back.

prevent this from ever happening again in the future: save your project with increasing version number appended and periodically close and reopen the latest version:

eg, for project1.fla, save as project1_v000.fla, project1_v001.fla, project1_v002.fla etc.  if you close and reopen the latest version without problem, you can delete the earlier versions.
