I turned my Animation layer into a symbol and they vanished but are somehow still there?

My Animation uses a rig that works for everyone else, but I dont understand what happened. My adobe animate decided to glitch, cauysing the screen to kind of rotate on open and glitch some parts. I had an animation layer - labeled characters - and I converted it into a symbol, and it vanished, i dont know what happened, please someone help me find out the what the issue is? I opened it and it wont show, open the attached mediafire file, the screen looks so glitched, In the CHARACTERS symbol, there is my animation, but before I turned it into a symbol it was there, now it isnt.

copy from the characters symbol to the main timeline if that's where you want that animation.  and remove the characters symbol from your main timeline.

i did what i said, i had 1 symbol for 1 characters animations, another for another characters animations both in the same layer, all i did was turn the two into a combined symbol

If you do that, you'll only turn the instances of the current keyframe into a symbol. You may also lose tweens and get raw shapes merged.

The best way is to right-click the layer(s) and choose Convert Layers to Symbol. In this way, you'll get all the frames and everything will be kept in its own original layer.
