Hi,
I have a ton of FLA files that were done in Flash CS5.5. They are (mostly) ActionScript 2.0 files (though there is absolutely no script in any of them). All of the files are hand-drawn animation, saved as graphics and (sometimes) symbols.
Can I import those FLA files into Animate and then save those as Animate files?
You don't "import" FLA files into Animate. Animate still uses the FLA file format. You just open them up like any other FLA.
Yes, even Flash 8 files open just fine.
Only a small warning pops up that AS2 is not supported. Press OK, then save the file in the new format. That is all.

That's great. So if there's no script, and the FLA files are just layers of vector animation, they should all be able to open up in Animate and work?
