Whenever I import gifs to the program, they seem to just gain a background when the orginal gif was transparent. Is there anyway to fix this?

Hi, gifs with transparent backgrounds are not well supported. Convert it into a PNG sequence with Photoshop, AME or an online tool like https://ezgif.com/split then import the sequence to Animate.
