So years ago, I was able to export audio (wav and mp3) from Premiere to Adobe animate just fine. Then after an update some time after, I lost that ability to do so. I tried looking around for just a simple method to do what I had done before, but the basic method I have to do now is
Export audio from Premiere -> Import audio to Audition -> export as a specific mp3 format-> Import to Animate
It's really obnoxious having to use a third app for something that wasnt an issue 2-3 years ago, and it's annoying to not only have to set where the file saves for every single project per app, but that it also saves an auditon file that I never plan on opening ever again.
If there's an alternative format I can use on Premiere just to skip the whole conversion on Audition or another sound program like Audacity, I would very much appreciate it.
Use 44100Hz 16-bit PCM WAV and all will be fine.
48000Hz or 24 and 32-bit audio will cause problems.

and the easiest way (imo) to do that, is to open your sound in audition, click save as and select the compatible settings. then import that resaved file into animate.

Wav format works fine but yes, there seems to be a problem with MP3s.
I just made the test and none of the mp3 options in Premiere are working when imported into Animate, tried with Media Encoder as well and same story. This is fairly new since I don't remember this happening in version 23.0.2.
Please make a bug report to the dev team from this link:

Yes, Audition works.
Premiere and Media Encoder do not, but they used to and they should.

Ok I made more tests and it looks like it only fails when the source audio has a sample rate of 48,000 Hz. The transcoded MP3 ends up with the same value so this is why these can't be used in Animate.
Unfortunately you can't modify the sample rate of mp3s in Premiere / Media Encoder, the encoder always defaults to the source.
After Effects made a smarter decision... although you can't customize the sample rate for this format, MP3s are always encoded at 41,000 Hz regardless, this ensures compatibility between apps and devices.
