I don't know if anyone else is having this issue with Adobe animate in regards with using the Microsoft surface pen but I seem to be having issues in regards to pressure and unregistered strokes. The pressure and tilt options comes up whether I am using a Wacom tablet or the surface pen in Animate, however, only the Wacom tablet seems to be able to have pen pressure whereas it doesn't register when using the surface pen. Another issue is that if trying to draw in small circles or etc with a surface pen like scribble in small dots on animate, they also don't seem to register, yet this problem isn't present with my Wacom tablet. I am using my surface pen on the surface book 2 and a video has recommended installing some Wintab drivers which allow it to pick up pen sensitivity, which I have installed, but this hasn't changed anything. Is there anything else I need to install or change in Animate's settings to fix this, or is this otherwise something I'd need to contact Microsoft about. Thanks!
This sounds like its a surface book issue.
After running updates on the Surface book 2 and then installing Adobe Animate CC 2018, pen pressure was not available but I was still able to use the surface pen to paint within Animate CC.
I then downloaded the same Wintab_x64_1.0.0.20.zip from the Microsoft Download Center and installed the driver. Pen pressure was then made available in Animate CC.
