System error sound plays when I try to save

I reflexively press command+s to save, because Animate crashes so frequently. I recently updated to latest and now whenever I press command+s and there aren't new changes, my computer plays the error sound. This is incredibly annoying. To top it off, it plays the sound from my laptop speakers even though I have headphone plugged in.

reset your preferences by removing

Win:

Mac:
