The sound goes back to the original level when I bring it into Animate

I recorded a music sequence un Reason+. I had brought the sound down to more quite level then the original recording. When I bring it into Animate the adjustment simply disappears. I have tried a grillain times but each time when I comes into Animate it doesn't keep the new volume. Help!

Your audio is at 48 000 Hz.

Change it to 44 100 Hz and Animate will read it without making it louder on import.

open the sound file in audition.  does it show/play the sound with the lower volume?

save it from audition with a new unique name. import that new-named file into animate.

I did that and the sameproblem occured. I have included a copy of the music before I bring it in and a screen shot of the volume after I bring it in.
