Trying to create AIR app for video playback with Animate (like I used to do with Adobe Encore)

Working to build an interactive video playback interface for a touchscreen kiosk.  I was easy in Adobe Encore but trying to do it in Animate on an HTML5 canvas. Would be played on a large touch-enabled monitor from a PC.

Would have an attract-loop video with full screen "touch to begin" button that goes to menu screen.  Menu has choice of several videos.  Returns to menu choices at end of each video and if no action is taken for 30 seconds it returns to attract-loop.

I feel like I'm 80% there but could use help.  Any takers?

Hi!

Do you really need it to be a HTML5 (Canvas) app?

Because if you are going to run it from a desktop device - or even a mobile device -, I think is way better to build an AIR for desktop app. It's gonna be much more powerful and easier to build.

You won't have to worry about overlaying DOM elements over the Canvas element, browsers inconsistencies, you'll be able to design all elements with the Animate design tools, and so on.

I've already built a game for a big touch TV and an app for an interac

I've already built a game for a big touch TV and an app for an interactive table using Adobe AIR / AS3, and they all played nice!

You choose.
