white keyframes in the Animate CC timeline

New Here ,

Does anyone know what is the purpose of adding 'color effect' changes by selecting the keyframe(and not the symbol on the stage) and adding a color effect? The normally black keyframe turns 'white' ?

Normally you select the symbol and then select a property however now you can select the keyframe of the symbol and then change the property of 'color'. What results is a little confusing as well.

The purpose is to be able to use filters, effects and blending modes without having to convert the content into a graphic or movie clip symbol.

Hi Mario_CR

Thank you for the info. The mystery is solved!
BTW do you have a link to Adobe that explains this function?

My not so good searching hasn't been able to find any official reference to this as yet.
