Adobe Audition v23.5 crashes on startup. Rolling back to a previous version didn't help. Reinstalling didn't help either. Today Audition suddenly stops starting and leaves .crash files on the desktop
If it's that bad, then I suggest uninstalling using the Adobe CCcleaner app before attempting another reinstall. If the problem persists, then copy the log file's text into this thread and we might be able to find out what is ailing your computer.
Thanks for the reply. I uninstalled Audition v23.5 with the Adobe CCcleaner app, restarted my computer, then installed v23.3. But the result is still the same. Crash file created by v23.3 I publish after the log file. And my log file contains only 5 lines of records:

I'd say that on the face of it, there's something seriously wrong with your OS. Do you have trouble with any other software? And exactly what OS are you running? There are a suspiciously large number of references to a 32-bit system, and Audition won't install and run on that anyway.
Problems only with Audition, other applications work fine. Windows 11 Pro 22H2 64-bit. Maybe it has something to do with the recent Windows update. There is a new update today and I will try to install Audition v23.5 again after the Windows update
Like I said, I think there's something seriously wrong with your OS. High up in the list of possibilities are missing or faulty .dll files, or corrupted C++ library files - but there are plenty of other possibilities too. I think you may have to face up to the fact that you might need to reinstall your OS; when it starts to behave like that, it's a case of even if you find what might be behind all this, would you really trust it? I certainly wouldn't. And that's based on experience, believe me...
I understand that the steps I mentioned the last time were for the single-user installation. They will be different for corporate/business anti-virus installs. Would it be possible for you to get help from the IT to figure out a way to allow Audition through the AV software? And let me know if that helped?
Thank You, Satish R! I have been lurking on this thread, as I have had exactly the same problem as Aquades. I tried many fixes without success and finally had to roll back my Audition to v. 22.6 to get it to work without random crashes. I didn't even think to check the virus protection. I put in an exception for the Adobe folder- and boom!, now 23.6 works just fine....don't know how the exception was turned off, but there have been several Windows and Trend Micro updates, so it probably happened then.
