Recording Issues In Adobe Audition

Hello!

I am having some recording issues in Audition. I have been using a USB microphone to record, and it records fine in other applications other than Adobe. One day I went to record and Audition would not register any audio input. The help team with Adobe tinkered for 2 hours but was unable to fix the issue. I have tried reserting the settings to default, uninstalling and re-installing audition, and reconfiguring the microphone on the computer settings but nothing has worked. Can anyone help?

There's nowhere near enough information to be able to diagnose this - (nothing at all from Preferences, so we can't see how the mic is connected), but initially it's worth checking all the security settings in whatever protection there is on the machine, to make sure that Audition is actually allowed to connect to the mic.
