192 bps?

Hi,

The technical requirements for my audio book were that they needed to be MP3 or FLAC formats, 192 kbps or higher, and 44.1 kHz.

So, when I opened a file in Audition, I specified that it was 44.1 kHz and I saved them as FLAC files.  But now I am being denied the ability to upload because they aren't 192 kbps.  Please tell me there is an easy way to adjust this.  Please.

Thank you,

Lara

Don't send it as FLAC - use MP3 and set the bit rate to either 192 or something higher, like 256 or even 320. Just make sure that it's set to CBR.

I don't know what it is about FLAC - I suspect that it's something to do with what libsndfile does when it squashes the file, but I can't get it to tell me that any FLAC file has a bit rate of more than 184k - which is ridiculous. It's also not Audition's fault - libsndfile is bought in and maintained independently.

Okay. I just took one of my FLAC files, opened it, resaved it as an MP3, but I don't see where I can set the bit rate? And, once again, thank you.

If you are just doing a save from an open file, then you find it here:
