Adobe Audition CC 2020 will not record anything

Hello! Okay, so I use a PC. Adobe PREMIERE and the PC Voice Recorder App will recognize both the laptop microphone AND my Blue Snowball Ice USB microphone. However, even after updating Audition to  CC2020, restarting the program and the laptop, following every guide on setting up the microphone (both in the program and changing the computer settings themselves) Audition will not record sound from either the Blue mic or the laptop mic. It won't even pick up the sound. 

I have no idea what to do. Why will Premiere recognize the mic but not Audition?

Well looks like all I had to do was turn this setting off and then back on until Audition recognized microphones....

Different sound system, basically. What we need to know is exactly what you've done, preferrably with some screen grabs of the settings in Audition. And if you are recording in Multitrack, the one thing that a lot of people overlook is that you have to select an appropriate source and arm the track before you can record anything anyway...
